Client Open Positions: Metric Construction Corp. Superintendent
Our client, Metric Construction Corporation, has established itself as a leader in the construction industry for thirty years. Headquartered in Boston, Metric provides construction management services throughout New England and the Eastern United States. Metric specializes in several market sectors, building and renovating multi-unit and luxury homes, assisted-living facilities, academic institutions, retail centers, restaurants, hotels, spas, and commercial and office buildings. They are currently hiring an experienced Superintendent with experience managing projects in the $30M+ range for projects in and around Cape Cod and Martha's Vineyard. Metric provides an apartment, company truck to use on the island, and ferry reimbursement for Superintendents on the Martha's Vineyard job sites who reside on the Cape or other parts of MA.
Metric Construction Corporation, based in Boston, MA, is currently seeking a Construction Superintendent. Metric specializes in several market sectors, building and renovating multi-unit and luxury homes, assisted-living facilities, academic institutions, retail centers, restaurants, hotels, spas, and commercial and office buildings. The ideal Superintendent candidate should be a strong leader with a proven track record in completing similar projects on time, with a strong focus on maintaining a safe work environment and high quality standards. The Superintendent has ultimate responsibility for the day-to-day onsite management of projects including:

Development and adherence to the project schedule

Maintaining the site-specific quality control plan

Development and maintenance of the site-specific safety plan
-
Development and maintenance of the site logistics plan
-
Preside over weekly subcontractor meetings designed to coordinate the work.

Generation of daily construction reports - Procore experience a plus

Generate weekly SWPPP inspections reports
-
Serve as liaison with the community in the areas where the project is being performed

Maintaining client relations with architects, owners, subcontractors, etc.

Spearheading site coordination amongst trades and acting as the site leader

Proactively resolve issues as they arise and/or pulling in appropriate parties to make effective resolution decisions.

Maintain effective lines of communication with Project Management team at all times

Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in critical path to ensure timely completion.

Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed.

Communicate with project team regarding ASI’s, RFI’s, and Material Submittals.

Ensure that subcontractor is fully executing and complying with his contracted scope of work.

Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions where appropriate.

Identify and address subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards.

Identify conflicts in construction documents and communicate them to project team for resolution.

Ensure subcontractors have corrected all deficiencies identified by project team.

Identify and handle any issues of non-compliance with subcontractors relating to quality of work or scheduling.

Ensure that the job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner.

Ensure timely completion of punch list with subcontractors.

Supervise and mentor Assistant Superintendents assigned to projects

Requirements:

MA Unrestricted Construction Supervisors License (CSL) is required for the Superintendent position.

OSHA 30 Hour Certification will be required within the first week of employment and is provided by the employer if candidate does not already have this certification.

OSHA 10 required

At least one year of Procore experience, Procore Certification Preferred
