Job Description- Bookkeeper, Company Confidential
The candidate will report directly to ownership and support senior management and property managers by providing full cycle accounting and bookkeeping services including accounts payable, accounts receivables, and collections, as well as weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting. Knowledge of construction accounting is a huge plus.
Role:
Support the general accounting function including preparing journal entries, maintaining balance sheet schedules and ledgers and account and bank reconciliations. Perform closings and account analysis to supporting the owners and rest of the team. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in accounting principles be able to work comfortably with numbers and attention to detail, and able to work on-site daily.
Key duties and Responsibilities

Keep track of operational expenses for the office and company.

Keep detailed reports of commissions and bonuses earned by all agents.

Perform monthly bank reconciliations

Monitor and track rent collections

Assist ownership in the preparation of annual budgets, income and expense projections and attend weekly meetings and provide the accounts perspective on future projects.

Assist ownership with specific projects and tasks.

Accounts receivable and accounts payable entry

Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts

Prepare analysis of accounts as requested

Assist with the monthly closings and preparation of monthly financial statements

Assist with year-end closing
-
Assist with the preparation and coordination of the audit process

Assist with payroll administration

Review and process expense reports
-
Assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures

Special projects as directed by ownership
Education and Experience
-
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred
-
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Practices and Principles (GAAP)
-
4+ years of general accounting experience is required

Previous real estate and property accounting experience desirable but not required
-
Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel

Excellent Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Job Types: Full-time employee; also will consider experienced independent contractors
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
