Silver Tiger Consulting provides retained recruiting for a number of clients. One of our clients, a 100M construction management company based just north of Boston, is seeking a dynamic and experienced CEO.  The CEO will be responsible for the planning, strategizing, and oversight of all the company’s operations, which currently encompass municipal, academic, residential, retail, and commercial construction projects in New England. Operating in a fast-paced environment, the CEO will develop goals, budgets, plans, and strategies to ensure efficient, effective, and profitable operations. Working with the principals, the CEO will collaborate in developing and implementing a vision for the organization, while ensuring that both current and future direction is effectively communicated and embraced across the company.

Job Description- CEO, Company Confidential

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Understand the market and how to capitalize on new business development opportunities using a creative and entrepreneurial approach.

  • Network with customers, architects, brokers, financial institutions, and other leaders in the target markets of schools, healthcare, office, and retail.

  • Ensure all construction projects are completed in accordance with the approved budget and schedule and with high level of client satisfaction.

  • Develop and implement long term business plans for that are consistent with the Company's and implement company’s Strategic Plan to grow revenue, maximize profits, and meet financial objectives.

  • High level oversight of new and underway construction projects.

  • Identify and source opportunities to grow the company’s various business units.

  • Foster a company culture of inclusion, collaboration, growth, and continuous improvement across all business functions.

  • Manage risk effectively.
     

Job Role and Responsibilities Include:

  • Review and evaluate all contracts and agreements prior to the firm’s acceptance of them.

  • Assist with marketing and the development of responses to proposal requests to maximize the firm’s potential for successful bids.

  • Attend various business and social functions as necessary to promote and represent the firm.

  • Continuously build and maintain business alliances and partnerships to facilitate the growth and success of the firm.

  • Develop and cultivate new client/agency relationships in target markets to establish and facilitate new business opportunities.

  • Establish and maintain project/client contacts to identify and prioritize potential projects and teaming opportunities.

  • Maintain contact with all clients, agencies, and target markets through personal contact, correspondence, professional associations, and trade publications.

  • Oversight of the management of on-site and off-site employees assigned to projects.

  • Provide guidance and direction to staff to assist in their professional development.

  • Assure that employees adhere to the firm’s policies and procedures.

  • Fill in or cover for principals as needed.
     

Required Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of 20 years of relevant experience.

  • Track record of success initiating and leading multiple complex construction projects is required.

  • A four-year college degree is required with major course work in construction, finance, engineering, business administration or related field.

  • Successfully simultaneously managed 10-12, multi-million dollar civic projects from conception through to completion.

  • Team leader and player who is experienced in organizing and leading a diverse number of disciplines.

  • Solid negotiating skills, ideally with a history of dealing with government authorities, developers, consultants,  subcontractors, and material suppliers.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, a collaborative and team-oriented work style and conflict resolution skills.

  • Has a demonstrated ability to manage, mentor, and grow a team of professionals.

  • Strong leadership presence with excellent persuasion and influencing capabilities.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and tasks at the same time, including coordinating numerous activities and groups of people to achieve maximum efficiency.

  • Is a driven and results oriented individual with a reputation of achieving positive results under challenging circumstances.
